Overseas Associate Membership
With the growing number of overseas contacts, there is now becoming a need to formalise the relationships. It is proposed to create a cadre of associate membership within Nissi for overseas groups. These groups have special needs: they are often isolated in their ministry of bringing Jesus into health care; many are in countries where their ministry is in direct conflict with the official faith; some of them are in countries where transfer of money may be extremely difficult, others where the exchange rate makes even small contributions prohibitive. They would all benefit from the encouragement of being part of a larger group such as Nissi.
The purpose of this associate membership facility will be to provide contact and mutual encouragement. It is not possible to commit funds from Nissi to these embers, but Nissi would see it's role as a networker and facilitator for whatever contracts are helpful and possible.
As for the corporate membership of Nissi, all directors/partners/trustees would need to sign their agreement to the Nissi confession of faith, and make a declaration of the aims of their group, in particular regarding the position of Jesus in their work.
There will be no membership fee for those in developing countries. Those from developed countries would contribute the sum of £50 ($80). Although they will be entitled to attend Nissi meetings (including the AGM), they will not have voting powers.
